Rudolf Steiner has said that one of the greatest challenges to our spiritual development would be the lack of adequate nutrition and spiritual forces in our foods. Without adequate light-filled nutrition we would not have the physical basis for healthy spiritual development. This, says Dr. Ross Rentea, has proved to be the case in our time.
Dr. Ross Rentea is one of the co-founders of True Botanica, a provider of Anthroposophical nutritional supplements. He spoke with a group of 30+ anthroposophists from New England at a workshop in Freeport on Nov. 13/14 about the work of True Botanica. In the words posted on their website: “ We create innovative nutraceutical supplements, herbal tinctures, functional foods and natural cosmetics (using a ) threefold design to our products that makes them particularly effective on all three levels of body, mind, and spirit.”
Participants of the workshops were profoundly impressed with the wisdom and care used in the preparation of True Botanica’s supplements. Through the presentations we were led to understand that we all need to cultivate an awareness of the anthroposophical medical aspects of our spiritual life. Says Dr. Rentea, we need to say to ourselves that “I will let myself be helped by substances until my soul life strengthens.”
And a question, are we as a community interested in having a conscious discussion on how to support and improve the health of ourselves and our children?
